It makes an analogy to the Latin phrase tempus fugit.
Paluc is a silver steel bracelet that resembles a handwatch but lacks the hands, dial, subdial, caseback and crown.
The dial and the crown are not there because they are not part of the design, which prevents the bracelet from functioning as a watch.

The crown is missing as a result of a missed time check or Tempus Non Fugit.
