HANDMADE CONCRETE / WOOD & GLASS TABLE

"40 cm width, 35 cm length, 27.5 cm height."

It starts from a rational thought when planning the construction of a functional piece of furniture, following a modular logic, it is composed in a simplistic and unremarkable way. After having conceived it in a two-dimensional environment, it is transferred to a three-dimensional context where the piece of furniture gains presence and comes to life in reality; it can thus suffer the imperfections of this. Over time, the construction becomes deteriorated by external agents, and a deconstruction of the piece based on randomness and non-logical thinking is generated. Subsequently, another external agent to the composition takes action on it, rearranging randomness using a logic completely different from the one initially conceived to create the original piece of furniture.

This is when the initial SELF, the creator of the primitive idea of the furniture, gains a view of its final outcome, the consequence of external and uncontrollable agents of the environment in which it lives, and decides to judge this new composition.

It determines that it continues to understand the object in the same way, with the same idea but with a different formal composition.

In this way, the final object is the result of different rational and irrational actions that, through chance and subconscious and logical construction, build a new "functional piece of furniture" on a wooden base, supported by a juxtaposition of nearly thirty solid cement spheres that uphold a horizontal glass sheet.
